HammerFall

Začátky skupiny Po opuštění deathmetalové formace Ceremonial Oath v roce 1993 kytarista Oscar Dronjak založil skupinu Hammerfall, brzy se k němu přidal ještě Jesper Stromblad. Tím byly položeny základy Hammerfall, bylo však nutné najít ještě další členy. Do sestavy získali kytaristu Niklase Sundina, zpěváka Mikaela Stanne (Dark Tranquillity) a baskytaristu Johana Larssona. Cílem kapely v této době bylo co nejčastěji se scházet ve zkušebně a zlepšovat se za účelem úspěchu v místní hudební soutěži soutěži "Rockslaget". Odehrály se také podstatné personální změny, když na post kytaristy přišel Glenn Ljungström (In Flames) a baskytary se chopil Fredrik Larsson (Crystal Age). I když v té době Hammerfall již měli i vlastní kompozice (z nich se dvě- "Steel Meets Steel" a "HammerFall" později
